Enemy at the Gates
Having sensed that a Gate of Souls has appeared in Gerudo Desert, the heroic sorceress, Lana, hurries off to investigate. Upon arriving, she finds not one Gate of Souls, but several—and powerful monsters watching over them! Lana’s search for Cia will have to wait. These dangerous gates must be closed!
Run north to locate the first Gate of Souls. A burly Big Blin stands guard over the Gate; defeat the monster to close the gate and prevent more monsters from passing through.
Three more Gates of Souls lie to the north and east. Activate the owl statue near the North Oasis as you race to close each of these three. The faster you defeat those Big Blins, the fewer monsters you’ll have to deal with! Wipe out any other enemy Captains you encounter as you go.
Hard Mode Skulltula OpportunityYou must be playing as Lana and wielding the Deku Spear in order to obtain this Scenario’s Hard Gold Skulltula. Act fast and close all seven Gates of Souls in 10 minutes or less. Start with the four northern gates, then go after the three to the south. |
The Great Bird Returns
The monstrous Helmaroc King arrives as you race from one Gate to the next—and it isn’t alone. It’s brought the pirate girl, Tetra, to Gerudo Desert as well! Tetra manages to escape to the southern desert, but the Helmaroc King gives chase. You must save that poor pirate girl!
As luck would have it, Link suddenly appears and races to Tetra’s aid. Rather than switching to Link, finish closing the three north Gates of Souls with Lana, then warp to the southwest owl statue (the one near the Allied Base) and go east into the southern desert, rescuing any Goron Captains that may have fallen into danger while holding the east bridge.
Now switch to Link and rescue Tetra, who’s likely fallen into danger by now. Simply switching to Link is all it takes to save her, for he’s right by her side. After rescuing Tetra, begin to battle the Helmaroc King.
