After you’ve captured the North Field Keep and Mountain Keep, a dark, sinister version of King Dodongo appears. Hurry and bring down this inky beast before it smashes Hyrule Castle!
This dark version of King Dodongo is similar in every way to his normal form—only he’s much scarier. King Dodongo appears just north of the Central Keep and immediately begins to attack it. After that, King Dodongo marches on the West Field Keep, followed by Castle Keep. You can’t allow this nightmarish fiend to smash the castle!
As if King Dodongo weren’t enough of a threat, powerful monsters (morale-boosted Gibdos and Moblins) also appear to the east and north, and begin marching on Hyrule Castle, as well. These monsters are a tremendous threat, so send Impa to intercept one group while using Linkle to confront the other. Allow King Dodongo to wreck the Central Keep for now.
A hoard of monsters also appears to the east. Wipe them out and then converge on King Dodongo, who is likely thrashing the West Field Keep by now. Linkle’s compass suddenly shines with bright light, quelling King Dodongo’s fury—at least, a little.
Now’s your chance! King Dodongo is marching on Hyrule Castle, so race to its defense. Feed King Dodongo a healthy diet of bombs each time it opens its maw, then unleash your most powerful combos to batter the great beast’s Weak Point gauge, inflicting maximum damage. Don’t relent until King Dodongo is dethroned, and the land of Hyrule is saved! All in a day’s work for the Legendary Hero.
