A People in Need
At last, Linkle has found her way to Hyrule Castle—and not a moment too soon. Broken from their recent battle against Ganon, the Hylian guard have little hope of repelling the tide of monsters that have suddenly begun to swarm Hyrule Field. Fortunately, Linkle is here to save the day!
Your first priority is to defeat five enemy Captains (Moblins) that are dueling with Hylian Captains around the field. Race to the nearest Moblin and defeat it, then head for the next. Defeat the Moblins on the east side of the field first, then loop around to the south and go after the one in the central field.
By the time you reach the central Moblin, several of Hyrule Field’s Keeps will have fallen to the enemy forces. Things are looking grim, but you’re soon granted control of Impa, who is fighting valiantly over to the west. Defeat the central Moblin with Linkle, then quickly switch to Impa and wipe out the final enemy Captain. Use the Command screen to order Linkle to Castle Keep while you mix it up with the final Moblin as Impa.
Hard Gold Skulltula OpportunityYou must rescue all five Hylian Captains from the attacking monsters in order to draw out this Scenario’s Hard Gold Skulltula. Pay attention to the Hylian Captains’ cries for help and race to their aid. If any Hylian Captains fall into danger, rush to heal them immediately by moving into the green circle that surrounds them. Rescue all five Hylian Captains to make the Hard Gold Skulltula materialize at the dead-end north of the East Field Keep. |
Defend the Castle!
By the time you mop up the Moblins, even more enemy Captains (Gibdos) will be storming toward Castle Keep. Defense is the name of the game from this point onward—you must not let Castle Keep fall! Rush to defeat the Gibdos as fast as you can, along with any other inbound enemy Captains.
Take Back Your Land!
After clearing Castle Keep, look to reclaim other nearby Keeps with Linkle. Start with the West Field Keep, activating the nearby owl statue when a chance permits. Head for the Abandoned Fort next, and leave Impa to defend Castle Keep so you can switch to her and come to the castle’s defense at a moment’s notice.
Piece of Heart OpportunityAfter capturing the West Field Keep, take a moment to crack open the treasure chest that appears with Linkle to discover a Piece of Heart. |
Gold Skulltula Opportunity Keep an eye on your KO count as you capture those Keeps. When you hit 1,000 KOs, a Gold Skulltula appears on the wall just east of Castle Keep. It’s an easy grab for Impa or Linkle—whomever you’ve tsasked with defending the castle. |
Heart Container OpportunityBy the time you’ve captured the Keeps near the castle, it’s safe to allow Impa to advance. Send her north of the Abandoned Fort, and then bomb the boulder beyond to discover a treasure chest. Pop it open with Impa to claim a Heart Container. |
Stop Those Monsters!
The North Field Keep and Mountain Keep must be captured in order to end the monsters’ onslaught. Even capturing just one of these two Keeps is enough to slow their advance, so look to capture the Mountain Keep as soon as you feel it’s safe to do so. Capture the North Field Keep afterward to complete your objective.
