The days of doing combat with a familiar foe have passed. The Imulsion’s effects on Sera’s inhabitants have given birth to a new species known as the Lambent. Enemy of both COG and Locust, the Lambent attack without prejudice and spawn from pods growing like diseased pustules on towering stalks that sprout violently without warning. Ravaged by prolonged exposure to Imulsion, some Lambent have even evolved the ability to mutate.
Though the Lambent have become the COG’s primary threat since the sinking of Jacinto, the Locust are not exterminated. Forced to carve out a living on the planet’s surface, the Locust have adapted to their new surroundings rather well. This new savage faction of Locust may appear a bit disheveled compared to the Palace Guard, but they have assembled some very powerful weapons out of the scraps that the groundwalkers have left behind.
