Morgause, Shrine of the Earth Trial

Pawan, once an impressive Shepherd before he became a seraph, greets you at the entrance. Edna tries to manipulate Pawan’s lecherous personality to get the spiritual power faster, but when it doesn’t work she displays a frankly disturbing amount of intimidating presence and scares off the Minotauros. Find it and quell it, and then head to the shrine’s altar to meet up with Pawan again.

The Minotauros is now terrified of you and will run away if you come near it. It will run back and forth across the courtyard between the two great rooms, but simply walking up to it won't be enough. Use Mikleo's Spectral Cloak to approach it and this time it will stay and fight.

The Minotauros is weak against wind artes, so use Dezel as your main seraph in this battle. Most of its attacks are martial and hidden artes that damage the immediate area in front of it and they have a high chance of leaving you stunned while inflicting a good chunk of damage. Try to get behind it, otherwise overpower its artes while giving yourself the chance to guard and dodge. Throughout the battle, the Minotauros will attempt to call Boar hellions to its side; interrupt its call if possible, otherwise quickly take them out so you can go back to focusing on the Minotauros.

During the battle, the party realizes the Minotauros is one hellion composed of the collected souls of abandoned children. After purifying it, Edna apologizes for scaring them and the freed souls can finally be at peace. With the boss successfully defeated, head to the alter.

You can head down the northwest and southeast stairwells and break the columns on the bottom floor if you want to access the raised treasures in the eastern and western treasure rooms, but if you’re in a rush you can skip the treasures and normin. The only bottom level columns you need to break in order to progress are the northernmost pair that you can reach if you head down the southeast stairwell, breaking the [5] column to open up the pathway to the altar. Once you reach the barred doorway leading to the final northern corridor, head down the northeast stairwell to break column [8]. This partially lowers the doorway; head back up and to the opposite stairwell and break column [9]. Now that the doorway is clear, head into the corridor and activate the save point along the way to the Innermost Great Hall. Here you can catch the skit: Sympathy for the Hellions to find out more about the children that made up the Minotauros.

Pawan bestows the spiritual power of earth onto Edna and Sorey, and you can now use the earth armatization mystic arte, Earth Revolution. Edna's title "Grown-up Child" raises to "Shattering Orange" and she gains a scenario skill that cures Slow upon armatization. Head to the exit by taking the direct route up the stairs and across the bridge so that you can check out the Monolith at the end before jumping down into the beginning room.

With the Earth Trial completed, the party is ready to take on the Water Trial. But to get there, you'll need to return to Hyland.
