This second encounter with Jade and Sophie has them with almost double the health and stats of your previous fight, but take a look at their Power Link: together, they have a negative percentage boost of -80%. That means that the two are actually weaker when they fight together - take one down, and suddenly their true strength awakens. Therefore, it is a better idea to try and defeat them around the same time instead of taking a divide and conquer approach. It’s hard to balance engaging both bosses at once, but it’s better than fighting them one-on-one. Individually, they are two of the strongest foes in the game.

All in all, their battle styles are not so different than before, but now you’ll have to deal with both of them at once; or worse, individually. Sophie’s special ability has changed slightly – it now increases her BG while she’s in the middle of a combo – so it’s more important than ever to avoid her attacks to avoid triggering her mystic arte. Jade gains an extra boost in his iron stances, so it’s even harder to break his seraphic artes. As far as elemental resistances, there is no change from last time (Sophie: Fire, Water, Wind; Jade: Non-Elemental, Earth, Wind), so which artes and seraphim you should use depends on which enemy you are fighting at the moment. If you bring out Zavied, consider changing his Strategy to defensive/support only so he won’t trigger their weakness combo, since they are both resistant to Wind.

Defeating these two will give you the Trophy “A Non-Specific Tale”.
