BOSS
Jade is resistant to Non-Elemental, Earth, and Wind, so bring in Lailah and Mikleo and focus on your own Fire and Water artes, but you’re going to need more than that to win this battle. Based on pure stats alone, Jade might seem less intimidating than Illuyankas, but his technique is deadly if you’re not careful. Jade is fast and quick on his feet – he will attack your party with quick hidden and seraphic artes and then immediately run across the map to avoid your counter attacks. Your martial artes can disrupt his seraphic artes, but only if you can catch him. Jade’s special ability grants him iron stance, which makes his seraphic artes harder than usual to break. If you normally fight in Manual mode, you might want to switch to Semi-Auto for this battle. This way your character automatically moves within striking range, so you only have to focus on attacking.
As with Illuyankas, a good counter to Jade’s hidden artes is to break them with some hidden artes of your own, or use a seraphic arte to null the attack. However, later in the battle you might want to focus on dodging them - when he has enough BG charged, Jade tries to end his combos with his ‘Mystic Cage’ mystic arte. He also starts to use the seraphic arte ‘Meteor Shower’ around this time – break it with your martial artes if you can, otherwise get ready to run.
Defeating this four-eyed foe grants you the fashion accessory ‘Third Eye’.
