Defeat Heldalf before the final battle at any of the following locations to view the alternate ending.
After agreeing to meet Sergei in Pendrago during your first visit to Lastonbell, you can encounter Heldalf in Biroclef Ridge. If you save clear data after the alternate ending, you will return to the Meadow of Triumph, Exit Leading to South Ridge.
After obtaining the Spiritual Power of Fire, you can encounter Heldalf in Cambria Caverns. If you save clear data after the alternate ending, you will return to the Meadow of Triumph, Exit Leading to South Ridge.
After defeating Cardinal Forton, you can encounter Heldalf at Westronbolt Gorge. If you save clear data after the alternate ending, you will return to Pearloats Pasture, Exit Leading to West Gorge.
After obtaining the Spiritual Powers of Fire, Water, and Earth, you can encounter Heldalf on the Great Camelot Bridge. If you save clear data after the alternate ending, you will return to Pearloats Pasture, Exit Leading to Northeast Bridge.
After obtaining the Spiritual Power of Wind, you can encounter Heldalf at Aifread’s Hunting Ground. This battle will happen as part of the main storyline, but defeating Heldalf here will trigger the alternate ending instead of the game’s true ending. If you save clear data after the alternate ending, you will return to Pearloats Pasture, Exit Leading to Southwest Hunting Grounds.
Mythril
After obtaining the Spiritual Power of Wind, if all Weaponsmith Shops have reached a rank of 2.5 stars or more, Weaponsmith Cerogrin in Lohgrin will give you a Tough Pickaxe and ask you to mine Mythril in Aroundight Forest. Find the mining spot in the northwest part of Aroundight forest, mine some Mythril, and bring it back to Cerogrin. This unlocks mythril equipment for purchase at shops.

After Mayvin asks you to collect all of the Iris Gems, head to Pendrago. In Pendrago’s Northern Quarter, a merchant tips you off to the location of Gem Merchant Zod in Westronbolt Gorge. Head there and speak with the poor merchant, who says a creature attacked him and ate the gem. At the star on your map (upper levels of Westronbolt Gorge, south of Malevolent Crucible: Maharaurava), the optional boss Goblin Lord waits. Defeat him to acquire the Iris Gem.

After defeating Tiamat, head to the Great Camelot Bridge and speak with the seraph there to learn about the Legendary Wyvern. Defeat the hellion in Plitzerback Wetland to earn a new title and Dezel's and Zaveid's costume "Young Dark Wind," as well as a new mystic arte for the Zaveid: Heaven or Hell.
The Lady of the Lake
After clearing the game, continue playing using clear data and stay at the Shaorune Inn. Sorey and Lailah will talk. In the morning, head to the Ladylake Sanctuary. Lailah will discuss her past, and earn a new title, as well as the mystic arte Primal Embrace.
