Sorey is quick and efficient. Stack stun boosts and one or two other status effects to their maximum when fusing Sorey’s equipment, and use his quick martial and hidden artes to incapacitate a field of foes within the first few seconds of a battle. These status effects are especially useful against foes that must be inflicted with ailments in order for attacks to do decent damage. If you’re watching carefully, you can use a single multi-hit attack to stun or inflict ailments on multiple enemies by swiftly switching to a nearby target as soon as you notice that the first or second hit has already done its job. When you’re choosing your next target, take a moment while the battle is paused to check out the weaknesses and resistances of each enemy on the field. If you’ve stacked your skills high enough and you’re just looking to inflict a status effect, sometimes it won’t matter, but it’s always nice to do a little extra damage in the process.
Using Sorey to mount an offensive before your enemies have a chance to begin their own attacks is a simple way to take and hold a useful advantage throughout a battle. Keep your casters free to focus on offensive artes instead of wasting their BG on restorative artes by making sure a few of Sorey’s fusion slots are reserved for HP-recovery or damage-negation skills (such as Gaine and Invalada).
