Alisha generally manages to hold her own in battle against other humans, but because she cannot master the armatus, her capabilities are limited when it comes to stronger hellion battles. It’s probably for the best that she doesn’t stay with the party the entire game, since many of the more difficult battles are nearly impossible without the use of armatization. Still, this knight has a few tricks up her sleeve, and she can be a great help in battle once you know how to work around her limits.
While she has a tendency to be easily overwhelmed due to her slow recovery speed after attacking, she has some great moves that displace enemies and move her across the battlefield to combat this weakness. Spinning Top is incredibly useful when surrounded, delivering powerful blows all around that knock enemies down. Skewering Spear can drive through multiple foes in front of her, and Dragon Floret juggles even dangerous dragon-type enemies up in the air to leave them open to additional attacks from allies. Like Sorey, Alisha has a wide range of different elemental attacks, so take note of enemy weaknesses and be sure to utilize the best artes for the job.
Unless you are playing the Alisha’s Story DLC, you probably won’t get a chance to see her Mystic Artes, since unfortunately Mystic Artes are not introduced in the game until after Alisha leaves your party. However, if you are playing in New Game + mode or enjoying the Alisha’s Story DLC, you will likely find her Mystic Artes incredibly useful. Because she cannot armatize, you will need to utilize her Mystic Artes fairly often to make up for the damage difference between herself and her Shepherd. Luckily, she has both BG3 and BG4 Mystic Artes, so you’ll be able to use them multiple times within a single battle if you want to. Don’t forget to equip her with gear that has stacked BG increase boosts so that she builds up her BG quickly. If you have any equipment with the Axcell skill to reduce the BG cost of Mystic Artes, that is very useful as well!
