Take the road up through Capite Est and stop at the marker. This begins A Long and Dangerous Road. You have a meeting between Rico, Teo, Dimah, and Annika, and everyone debates how to test the new hardware that you’ve all been working on. It’s time to see how this stuff performs in the field!
Protect the EMP and Your Allies
As the scene ends, you can grapple onto one of the vehicles in a rebel convoy. Get toward the front so that you can defend everyone if there’s an ambush—and you know darn well that there will be! Soldiers attack from a bridge above the road, and from the area ahead. Grapple up to the high ground, defeat the soldiers on the bridge, and attack the group below once you’ve secured the bridge.
The convoy starts up again, but you don’t get to ride for long before there’s another blockade in the road. Kill the soldiers that pop up with a grenade toss or two, and then turn left to shoot explosive barrels as more enemies hide behind cover up there.
Commandeer a gunship at the end of this skirmish so that you have superior firepower for the remainder of the escort.
The convoy goes through a couple of tunnels, but you still have a great angle of fire most of the time to ensure that no one is overwhelmed. Bust the team through a gate, and continue mowing down everything that moves around them.
Another barricade then stops you. After a small fight there, you must fight several vehicles. Remember that shooting out tires is a great tactic during these chases. It’s a fast way to get rid of your enemies without wasting ammo!
The team passes a military base (which probably wasn’t the best idea when you were planning a route), and another gunship descends. Don’t give it any time to fire on your allies; that thing can do massive damage. Commandeer it immediately, or destroy the gunship with your best firepower!
There are a couple more choppers on their way. Give them the same treatment.
Soon, the convoy stops as you finally reach the enemy tank yard. Snipers are above, on your right. Jump into a tank and kill the soldiers nearby and above you without mercy. On the other side of the convoy, more troops are deploying. Drive over to obliterate them, and make sure that you don’t hit your buddies’ vehicles with any explosions.
Use the EMP weapon that you guys brought when the battle ends, and watch the mission complete. Di Ravello won’t be happy to hear about any of this!
