Corda Dracon translates to “Heart of the Dragon.” Its central location and elevated vantage have long made it the key to controlling the region. The base’s construction was the forerunner for the General’s grand experiment of marrying classical and contemporary military installations, a theme later reproduced across Medici.
Tips: EMP Cannons
Corda Dracon is very difficult to attack while flying or driving any kind of machine; the many EMP cannons stop you quickly even if you make it past the SAM sites. Do what damage you can from a distance if you are flying. Otherwise, parachute into the base, looking for high ground from which to start your attack. We like to start atop the large tower in the middle of the central base structure. From here, you can rocket the military assets below from the edge of the rooftop.
Transponders
There are three transponders to destroy, if you have not dealt with them yet. They are inside closed silos (see our map). Raise each transponder by hacking one of the three switches
,
, and
near the silo sites. Clear the enemies from the area and then hack the switch. Shoot the transponder as it rises from the silo.
Hack the SAM sites near the transponders (the middle platform). Since the EMP cannon makes it hard to drive heavy military vehicles, use a rocket launcher on the legs of the antenna towers to bring them down quickly.
Radar Spire
Use the Capstone on the mountainside ledge to destroy all the targets in the bay, namely the radio spire and the other military assets on this platform. Behind this gun, there is an open cave with militia inside, so turn around periodically to blow up the attacking soldiers behind you.
