Hidden within a subterranean cave complex, Porto Darsena is known to few outside the Medician military. It serves as a refinery for local hydraulic fracturing operations, where the government has successfully tapped a 110 trillion cubic foot reservoir of natural gas known as the Ponere Shale Shelf.
Tips
This base is completely hidden from the air, tucked inside a mountain cave complex. However, you can still assault the base with an attack helicopter—there’s plenty of clearance to enter the tunnel entrance. There are also two attack copters available on helipads inside.
There’s sufficient headroom inside the cave to fly freely, but beware of a few SAM sites. Hack these before hijacking any enemy choppers. You can also fly below the SAM’s attack reach, as shown in this picture.
There’s a cave away from the larger cavern (not far from a subterranean drawbridge structure) that should not be overlooked. Here you will find two transformers, a fuel tank, and a weapon cache.
