Skill 4: Mend Wounds

Description: Invoke the Rites of Moawite, replacing your next Light or Heavy Attack used within 3 seconds with healing abilities that can be used on allies.

This skill is nice to have, but it’s a bit of a tough sell without one of the morphs it offers. To get the most out of this ability, you’ll want to use it with a healing staff. Landing a hit light attack on a moving ally with a melee weapon within 3 seconds is tough on a good day and the heavy attack heal is meant to be used with a weapon that creates a continuous beam (hence the healing staff suggestion). At its best, it will up the quality of a healer’s healing staff abilities. Use it with just about anything else and you’ll get a very different experience.

Potential Morphs

Mend Spirit

Mend Spirit’s offerings greatly increase this ability’s potential when used with a healing staff. It increases your ally’s Physical and Spell Resistance while you heal them, which can make a tank you’re healing even more unstoppable.

Symbiosis

If enemy players are constantly targeting you in Battlegrounds, consider selecting Symbiosis for some more survivability. With this morph, you heal yourself for a percentage of the healing done to the ally you’re currently healing. In other words, if their health is going up, so is yours.

Passive: Concentrated Barrier

Description: While you have a Psijic Order ability slotted and are blocking, you gain a damage shield that absorbs 2,500 damage.

This damage shield recharges back to full strength after you spend 10 seconds not blocking.

The shield isn’t going to make you an unstoppable god of battle, but it’s also nothing to walk away from. Having that little extra bit of survivability as a tank, or even as a light armor–wearing magic user, can make the difference between certain death and a narrow retreat.
