Description: Rinyde’s brother is looking to drop his pursuits of the mind for his dream of the stage, and Rinyde simply won’t allow it. You’ll need to infiltrate Summerset’s famous performance troupe, the House of Reveries, and talk to her brother about his schemes in order to appease Rinyde.
Perform for Alchemy
Head to the theater on the south side of Rellenthil. Make your way to center stage and use the enchanted daggers Rinyde gave you to perform for Alchemy. Speak with her after you complete your routine.
Collect a Gryphon Feather
Head south of the theater to find a gryphon’s nest. You need to steal a feather out of the nest, but you’ll likely have to fight or avoid a pair of gryphons to accomplish this feat. We suggest taking a stealth approach. Fighting one gryphon is challenging enough, but two is near suicide. If you approach the back of the nest, you should have little issue getting the feather without aggravating the gryphons. Take note that the fledging gryphons aren’t hostile and won’t cause you any trouble if they spot you.
Once you have the feather, head back to Alchemy near Rellenthil’s theater. If you really want to impress her, select the third option when she asks you how you came to hold a gryphon’s feather.
Talk to Rinyde
Head back to Rinyde and speak with her about your progress. She will instruct you to look for her brother—a task easier said than done. Like all House of Reveries hopefuls, Rinyde’s brother will be wearing a mask, so identifying him will be much tougher than simply looking at his face. Read the journal on the table in front of Rinyde to get more information on how to track her brother down.
Talk to Firebird
After reading the journal, head up the hill and enter the Manor of Masques. Equip your mask by selecting it in the Quest Items menu. Speak with Firebird in the corner of the room on the right. Play the Game of Boasts with him. Start by juggling your enchanted daggers. Speak with Firebird again, then select any of the three responses to intrigue and enthrall him (he seems to particularly enjoy the story about growing up in a barrel on a ship).
Talk to Clever
Head upstairs and speak with Clever. She’ll ask you to be the announcer for her act. Stand on the podium in front of her and select whatever dialogue options let your charismatic spirit soar. Once the performance is over, speak with her again. Any of the dialogue options will work, so don’t worry about making a mistake.
Talk to Feathermoth
After finishing your conversation with Clever, turn around and enter the dance studio to find Feathermoth. Speak with him and he’ll ask that you play the drums to the rhythm of his dance. Use the podiums in front of Feathermoth’s stage to select each of the three different rhythms. If you want to know the solution, read the following note box.
Return to Rinyde
Exit the building and head back to Rinyde. When you arrive, you’ll find Alchemy there instead of Rinyde. Speak with Alchemy. She’ll ask you to point out who you think Rinyde’s brother is. Getting the correct answer won’t affect your quest reward, but it does offer some satisfying results. After speaking with Alchemy, head to the beach to find Rinyde. She’ll ask you to reveal the identity of her brother. You choose whether to do this. Depending on what you decide, you’ll be tasked with either lying to or warning Alchemy.
Head back to the theater to issue your warning or lie. If you choose to warn them of Rinyde’s scheme, you’ll have to go onstage and perform. If you lie, you’ll need to stand in front of the stage and watch Rinyde enact her plan.
From here you’ll be asked to speak with a certain character and make a decision for them on how to handle wrapping up this situation. Select the choice you feel is the right answer, then head back to the beach and tell Rinyde your decision. You’ll be awarded a Chapeau of Revels for your troubles.
