Run Aground

Location: Just north of central Alinor
Quest-giver: Justiciar Farowel

Description: Justiciar Farowel needs Keelsplitter dead and you and your friends are the ones to do it.

Collect Ship’s Logs

The ship’s logs are all located in sand mounds scattered along the beach in front of Keelsplitter’s arena. Collect four of them and you’ll be good to go.

Return to Justiciar Farowel

After defeating Keelsplitter and tracking down the ship’s logs, head back to Justiciar Farowel to collect your reward.

Kill Keelsplitter

Keelsplitter is a pretty stationary boss. It will mostly just sit in its cove at the beginning of the fight while it tries to force you into the snake-covered center of the arena.

Most of Keelsplitter’s attacks are close-range AoEs meant to get you away from it. One of those attacks, however, will not only push you away, but it will also create geysers underneath you that will knock you over if you don’t move away from them in time.

After damaging Keelsplitter a bit, it will take flight to one of two different coves (not including the one it starts in). It will repeat this pattern throughout the fight: deal a bit of damage to it and it flees; then rinse and repeat.

If you step on one of the snakes, you’ll be tethered to it. You’ll suffer a hefty movement speed debuff until you can escape the large ring surrounding you and the snake.
