Summerset includes 15 new rare fish. Twelve of them are located all over Summerset, while three you catch in Artaeum. Simply check the maps for a possible fishing hole; these give a general location where fishing is available. Once you reach the spot, make a visual sweep of your surroundings so you know which type of fish you’re likely to catch at the location. There are five types:
Saltwater (sea): Coastal fishing spots grant you sea fish. There’s an abundance of fishing possibilities all around Summerset Isle.
Freshwater (lakes): Locate still, but not polluted lakes or ponds that don’t spill into the sea. Some prime fishing spots exist at the lake adjacent to Archon’s Grove.
River water (running): Find specific river fish in areas of moving water. Expect some river fishing to occur along the rushing waters of the river running northeast from Tor-Hame-Khard to Shimmerene.
Foul-water (swamps): Find these in either swamp or brackish areas, or those around dead bodies. Trek to the low marshland south of Corgrad Wastes, in and around Augury Basin.
Mystical (Artaeum): Being removed from the world, Artaeum has its own mystical waters. As expected, anywhere in Artaeum allows for mystic fish to be caught. Try the fishing pond just east of the Coliseum of the Old Ways.
Fishing Chances
Fishing rates are graded by the number of fishers at a fishing hole; a solo fisher has a 6% chance of landing any trophy fish; two fishers have a 10% chance; and with three fishers, the chance jumps to 16%.
Within the Trophy Fish Availability table, the “Very Rare” fish is the extra-rare trophy fish, appearing only 10% of the time. The other two in each group will appear 45% of the time.

Fishing in Artaeum
Fishing in Artaeum also has its own special gunny sack, a waterlogged Psijic satchel, that sources two unique Provisioning recipes: the Artaeum Pickled Fishbowl and the Artaeum Takeaway Broth. The pickled fishbowl increases your maximum health and magicka and lures rare fish to you.
The takeaway broth increases your maximum health and stamina, and your health and stamina recovery.
