Jewelry crafting allows you to make rings and amulets in the same way you craft armor and weapons. It functions almost identically, with the major exceptions being the need to farm new Pewter Nodes scattered across Tamriel. The new traits focus on increasing stats like Health, Magicka, and Stamina, or giving a small but useful buff to your movement speed. If you crafted anything in Elder Scrolls Online before, you’ll know exactly how jewelry crafting works.
Those who are new or who’ve been out of the game for a bit, hop ahead to the Crafting Quests section of this chapter to find the locations of all the Crafting Quests in Summerset. They’ll serve as great refreshers or tutorials on how crafting works.
Jewelry Trait Sources
Once you’re familiar with crafting jewelry, it becomes clear that there are particular traits that require a specific source. Knowing how to obtain these trait sources involves the following:
- Arcane: Increases max magicka.
Necklaces and rings with the Arcane trait can be found all over the world, including treasure chests, dops from monsters, and some quest rewards.
The trait item for Arcane, Cobalt, can be found by refining jewelry crafting materials and deconstructing Arcane jewelry.
- Bloodthirsty: Increases damage against low-health foes.
Necklaces and rings with the Bloodthirsty trait have a chance to be awarded as part of the regular rewards for completing weekly Trial quests. Note that reward boxes from Trial quests completed before the release of ESO: Summerset do not contain jewelry with the Bloodthirsty trait.
The trait item for Bloodthirsty, Slaughterstone, can be found in the reward box from weekly Trial quests.
- Harmony: Increases synergy effectiveness (damage, healing, and resource return).
Necklaces and rings with the Harmony trait have a rare chance to be found within Undaunted chests.
The trait item for Harmony, Dibellium, can found in the reward mails from Daily Dungeon LFG (Looking for Group).
- Healthy: Increases max health.
Necklaces and rings with the Healthy trait can be found all over the world, including treasure chests, drops from monsters, and some quest rewards.
The trait item for Healthy, Antimony, can be found by refining jewelry crafting materials and deconstructing Healthy jewelry.
- Infused: Increases item enchantment effectiveness.
Necklaces and rings with the Infused trait have a rare chance to be found within Psijic Portals anywhere in the world.
The trait item for Infused, Aurbic Amber, can also be found in Psijic Portals in both a refined and unrefined form. Refine 10 Pulverized Aurbic Amber to create a single Aurbic Amber.
- Protective: Increases armor and spell resistance.
A researchable ring is awarded at the end of the Summerset main quest line, and a researchable necklace is awarded at the end of the Psijic Order quest line.
The trait item for Protective, Titanium, can be harvested from precious metal seams throughout the game. Titanium is more easily found in Summerset.
- Robust: Increases max stamina.
Necklaces and rings with the Robust trait can be found all over the world, including treasure chests, drops from monsters, and some quest rewards.
The trait item for Robust, Zinc, can be found by refining jewelry crafting materials and deconstructing Robust jewelry.
- Swift: Increases movement speed (unmounted).
Necklaces and rings with the Swift trait have a rare chance to be awarded when completing normal jewelry crafting writs.
The trait item for Swift, Gliding Wax, can be purchased from the Mastercraft Mediator, Rolis Hlaalu, for 20 Writ Vouchers each. Rolis can be found in the three alliance capital cities: Elden Root, Mournhold, and Wayrest.
- Triune: Increases max health, stamina, and magicka.
