The Abyssal Alchemist

Location: Just north of central Alinor
Quest-giver: Justiciar Farowel

Description: A Sea Sload by the name of B’Korgen has taken up residence in Welenkin and it’s using alchemy to empower Yaghra in the area. Destroy the tainted coral it uses as the source of its alchemical transformations and remove the Sea Sload from this mortal coil.

Destroy Tainted Coral

You’ll need to destroy six tainted coral as part of the quest, all of which are on the beach in front of K’Garza’s home, Welenkin Cove. You’ll have objective markers for each one and none of them are tricky to reach. Just approach them and use the Interact button to destroy them.

Kill B’Korgen

B’Korgen will start the fight off by summoning a slew of Yaghra to do its bidding. Clear these enemies out before tackling B’Korgen directly.

You’ll also want to destroy its alchemical globules whenever possible, as it can use them to restore its health. B’Korgen will also frequently use these as weapons by shooting several of them at you and your allies throughout the fight. Destroying them doesn’t mean they’ll stay away, but it will help you maintain control of the battle if you’re not surrounded by globules on all sides.

B’Korgen will also fire a concentrated laser at you or one of your allies that will cause a temporary fear status, forcing you to run away. This attack is blockable, so put up your guard if you see the telltale white charge lines appear around B’Korgen’s head. If you do take a hit from this attack, don’t worry too much. It’s more to lower the total amount of damage you and your allies can deal collectively rather than something meant as a lethal weapon.

Don’t hold still while attacking B’Korgen. Every attack has a chance to trigger a counterattack from B’Korgen, who will shoot out a projectile that will create an AoE on the floor. The more you strike, the more of these AoEs will appear.

Return to Justiciar Farowel

After completing your tasks, head back to Justiciar Farowel to collect your prize.
