Destroy the Cannons

Go to the Broken Shillelagh to celebrate your “victory.” The Saints suffered some serious losses and you raise a glass to your fallen friends.

Their gathering is short-lived, as the party is interrupted by the STAG Daedalus, a massive flying battleship.

Get back to the Saints HQ and go to the heliport to find two purples helicopters. One is a Vulture that has heavy machineguns and a rocket launcher while the Tornado has a gatling gun and laser guided rockets. Fly to the huge flying cruiser and target the four cannons on the front, and two on each side. Use both the rockets and the machine gun to destroy them quickly. For fun you can also destroy the vehicles on the front landing strip.

Taking out the front cannons is a good start, but the airship is huge and it will take a massive amount of damage to bring it down. To do this, you need to get on board that flying carrier and blow it out of the sky. Follow the blue indicator and quickly land on the open bay before your chopper is shot down.

Plant the Bombs

There is a lot of heavy artillery on the battleship and it might be prudent to use the nearby Crusader tank to destroy some of the other vehicles.

The dividers for each bay allow a small amount of room to maneuver, but the tank’s range should allow you to wipe out any immediate threats. Once you are on foot, sprint to the bomb site and plant the explosive.

The next location is on the opposite side of the ship. Again, a tank can serve you pretty well in eliminating the threats on board. It might be tempting to hop in the Condor VTOL and fly over but they are too fragile and too risky. Run like crazy around the rear of the ship and plant the next bomb.

The third location for an explosive is the rear deck and that requires air travel. Steal the Condor VTOL and quickly fly to the rear deck. If you were diligent with your tanks earlier, there should be very little opposition when you take to the sky. Land on the heliport and plant the third bomb.

Fly or parachute back to the deck to plant the last bomb underneath and slightly across from the last one. The ship is rigged to blow but you can’t leave just yet. An unexpected guest flies in for a visit.

Kill Cyrus

The STAG commander isn’t about to let you leave alive. You must take down his fighter to finish wiping out STAG. Fortunately, the carrier is not only loaded with vehicles but with weapons as well. Check out the STAG boxes for a great selection of tools to tackle Cyrus. A personal favorite is the minigun.

When Cyrus takes enough damage he will call for assistance on the deck. Not only will STAG soldiers show up, but a five-minute timer will count down and put the pressure on to get rid of Cyrus. STAG grunts are easy to tackle with the minigun but any weapon will do. The goal is to wipe them out very quickly so you don’t eat up the clock fighting them. Most of your time and ammo should be used on Cyrus.

Keep the deck clear by destroying the aircraft dropping off more STAG ground forces. Blowing these can wipe out anyone on board and in the neighboring area.

Stay near the crates for cover and keep you back protected while trying to get the best position to shoot down Cyrus. The laser canon on his VTOL is lethal and you won’t survive for long standing in the open.

Cyrus’ eventual defeat won’t stop the countdown. In fact, it resets to 40 seconds!
Jump in the nearby F-69 VTOL and switch to jet mode to fly away from the Daedalus quickly as possible.

The Daedalus blows up in dramatic fashion, but there is one more mission for the Saints. They overtake Jane Valderrama’s newscast, leaving a message for Senator Hughes that the Saints own Steelport and it is now foreign soil.

Any attempt to mess with their new city-state will be met with extreme prejudice.
