The Hughes Memorial Bridge is the site of a political ribbon-cutting ceremony in Stilwater. The bridge is being dedicated by Senator Monica Hughes to her late husband, who gave his life fighting gang violence in Stilwater. The Saints funeral procession for Gat is stuck in traffic due to the closed bridge. The peaceful scene is about to take an ironic turn as a group of Luchadores smash through traffic and assault the Saints. The scene gets ugly really fast as the Saints, being chased by the Luchadores, crash through the media covering the event and nearly run over the senator. The signature green trucks of the Luchadores recklessly pursue the Saints while their brothers rain down a barrage of rockets. Killbane, the leader of the Luchadores, scores a direct hit on the Saints’ car and sends them into the water. To battle the Luchadores, the attack dogs of the Syndicate, the Saints need to enlist the help of several locals to aid in their quest to conquer Steelport.

Rescue Kinzie Kensington

The first new addition to your team is a mousey former FBI agent that apparently got booted from the fed when she was about to expose the Syndicate. The cyber gang, the Deckers, have her hostage on open waters and it’s up to the Saints to spring her. This is your first aquatic mission, but unfortunately it is rather short. Board the speedboat at the docks and follow the blue marker to find the barge. The typical approach to boarding the large sea vessel is to pull up close and slowly go up the docking ramp. Instead, build up as much speed as possible and launch your boat as far as you can onto the barge. The more air you get and the more distance you cover, the less boat battling you will have to do.

Kinzie is being held on the top tier of the barge but the boat is swarming with Decker guards.

Grab a human shield and shoot as many of them as you can near the stairway leading to the top of the boat. A lot of guards block your way upstairs to Kinzie. Eliminate the ones directly in your way and untie the pragmatic girl to question her about other people who are willing to team up against the Syndicate.

Tip

Don’t get caught up shooting the new blue-garbed enemies when you can just make a mad dash up the stairs and save Kinzie without a huge firefight.

Find the Pimp

When the Syndicate took over Steelport the DeWynter sisters, Phillipe’s right hand ladies, took over the prostitution racket and locked up its current pimp, Zimos. He is being held at a BDSM club called Safeword. Drive to the club and search for patrons to shake down to get info on Zimos’s location. Circle around the main desk at the club and take note of the yellow squares on the minimap. Each square shows the location of a patron who might have some useful info. Both gentlemen have the same info, so chose whichever room you want, open the door, and grab the customer. This is not a great place to threaten anyone because the patrons actually want to be hit. However, they will mention that the manager is upstairs and he should know where Zimos is. Kill the guy off and go upstairs to question more patrons.

At the top of the stairs is a large cage with one of the working girls doing her thing.

To the right of that cage is a room with a guy that won’t tell you anything, but questioning him makes the owner appear on the minimap in blue.

The owner of the club is just down the hall on the same level. Open the door and blast the couple of Morningstar guards to interrogate the owner. He is scared to divulge any info; a quick threat of severing his manhood soon makes him change his mind. Zimos is being held in the pony barn, whatever that is.

Free the Pimp

Bump off the owner and go to the right to walk down a concrete stairway. Open the door at the bottom of the stairs and kill the group Morningstar guards that try to ambush you. Walk down another flight and open the next door for some more Morningstar action. Grab one of them as a shield and wipe the rest out. Continue through this underground tunnel to find the pony barn.

Poor Zimos has been kept in the pony barn bound and gagged while being forced to give rides to the patrons. Luckily, the big rhinestone Z on his back makes him pretty easy to locate, but there is no time for proper introductions. Your presence upstairs did not go unnoticed and the Morningstar are hot on your tail. Before Zimos is set free, he has to give one more ride to you and Pierce.

This has to be one of the best chases in history. It pretty hard to compete with bunch of people having a shoot-out while being pulled on carts by BDSM slaves. Three carts chase after you in slow but steady pursuit. Save your fire for the Morningstar rather then the helpless gimps pulling the cart. Pierce has got some explosive power in his weapon and together it will be a quick task to end the chase.

Aid Angel De LaMuerte

Kinzie calls with news of the last member of your Steelport trio. The next recruit is Angel, who was a tag team partner with the leader of the Luchadores, Killbane. One or both of them went crazy and their partnership ended. Needless to say, Angel wants to destroy Killbane and he will join your clan in opposing the Syndicate. Get into your car with Zimos and drive to Angel’s casino before the Luchadores rub him out. The battle is already going on when you arrive. Stay in the car and make roadkill out of as many Luchadores as you can.

Use the protection of the car for as long as you can while laying waste to the green-clad thugs. Be careful not to get too close to the Brute or he will flip the car over. Look for cover while battling on foot and take your time because reinforcements are on the way. Oleg arrives on the scene and it is pretty fun to kick back and let him smash the Luchadores. Go inside when the battle dies down to find Angel.

Protect Angel

The Saints meet Angel but before they can make any introductions more Luchadores arrive. This is going to be one hell of a battle and Angel joins your side in the fight. A Brute is the first foe to arrive. Oleg says he wants to take on the clone all by himself. That leaves the rest your group to deal with the flood of enemies coming through the front door and on the upper level. Initially, it seems like the objective is to wipe out the impending enemy horde, but like most missions, the real goal is not to focus on the continuing flow of support thugs, but to survive for a specific amount of time. Don’t put yourself in harm’s way by attempting to wipe out everyone. Search for cover that protects you from the enemies on the top floor and shoot any Luchadores to thin their number.

Be cautious and focus on the real objective, to keep Angel safe. If he goes down, run up and revive him as soon as possible. The only exception is if he is KO’ed right in front of the Minigun Brute because the hulking enemies will lay waste to him over and over at close range. It is possible to tail Angel to protect him, but it is generally better to let him do his thing and help him if it becomes necessary. However, this doesn’t mean you can run and hide during this battle.

The initial wave of Luchadores isn’t the dangerous part of this mission. After a short time a Minigun Brute appears on the top level and eventually jumps down to join the fray. This hulking foe can be a real pain to deal with while the other enemies are plugging away at you. Circle around the Minigun Brute and use thrown explosives to drop him as fast as possible. Once he is gone, pick up his minigun and use it to waste the Flamethrower Brutes and anyone else in your way. However, the minigun is very heavy and the Flamethrower Brute can move much faster than you while you’re carrying the big gun. If they get too close, drop the weapon and use your speed to get some distance or they will roast you.

Note

When this mission is completed, three sets of new character missions will be available, each one corresponding to one of your three new friends. Each new recruit has several Activities missions that must be completed, along with a very brief final story mission. Once these are complete, each will become an official homie that can be contacted through the Cell Phone Menu.

Note

The character missions can be completed in any order but specific character missions must be completed prior to continuing parts of the critical Campaign related to the Strongholds. All of Zimos’s missions must be completed prior to Mission 29— Pimp up, Hos Down. All of Kinzie’s missions must be completed prior to Mission 37—Stop All the Downloading. All of Angel’s missions must be completed prior to Mission 43—3 Count Beat Down.
