Wraith is all about speed, stealth, and damage. While she is the most fragile of all the Monsters, she deals the highest damage and keeps a lower profile. Use stealth to your advantage by sneaking around and pouncing unsuspecting Hunters who stray from their team.
Due to Wraith’s lower armor, the player must focus on fighting in “bursts,” breaking out of combat to regenerate armor before fighting again. Whenever full armor is achieved, it is a good idea to go engage the Hunters to get a few early strikes on them. Doing so puts you at a great advantage after evolving.
Assault
Assault Hunters are a priority target for Wraith due to their high damage capabilities. The best possible way to combat the Assault class is isolating them from other Hunters and pouncing. A quick way to get an easy Pounce is using Abduction, then quickly activating Sneak and pouncing. Isolating the Assault class isn’t always possible; in these cases, use your Decoy to deal some damage to the Assault character without taking any yourself. Watch out for Markov’s Arc Mines: the only way you can clear them is by sacrificing your Decoy. When in a team fight with the Hunters, the goal is either to isolate and eliminate the Assault class, or to keep distance so you can avoid the high amounts of damage they can inflict at close range.
Medic
Since most of the Medic’s weapons require pinpoint accuracy, movement is again key in evading and countering the Hunter’s attack. Try to keep them busy by damaging the other Hunters, then pounce when they are vulnerable. The Medic is generally fairly harmless against Wraith, but if you come across Val, focus on incapacitating her immediately to prevent getting tagged and slowed by the Tranquilizer Gun. If the Tranquilizer Gun hits you, activate Decoy. This unmarks Wraith while cloaked, giving you a chance to put some distance in between you and the Hunters. When the cloak runs out, Wraith remains marked and slowed until the effects of the Tranquilizer Gun wear off. If you are playing against Lazarus, it is a good idea to attack an incapacitated enemy until they are killed, then quickly use Decoy and consume the Hunter while cloaked. Lazarus cannot bring a Hunter that you have eaten back to life.
Support
Try to keep the Support Hunter separate from the group of Hunters to eliminate the effectiveness of the team cloak ability. Using Abduction is a great way of accomplishing this. If the team is fully cloaked, look for signs of movement from the Hunters, and use a Warp Blast in that direction to separate them. Moving around during a fight greatly reduces the effectiveness of any Support Hunter. Watch out for Hank’s Orbital Barrage; if the Wraith gets caught in the area of effect, the barrage will eat through all of its armor very quickly. The most effective way to combat Bucket’s turrets is to simply avoid them, but if this is not possible, counter them with a well-placed Warp Blast.
Trapper
The Trapper should be the first target for Wraith. Getting trapped inside of the dome is a death sentence for a low-armor, high-movement speed Monster like Wraith. Harpoon Traps placed by a Hunter not only slow Wraith down, but they can also stop a Warp Blast from reaching the Hunter. One way to avoid getting hit by Harpoon Traps is to activate Sneak, and work your way through them. However, sneaking isn’t always possible in combat. If you are caught in the Mobile Arena, activate Supernova, followed by your Decoy. Doing so gives your Decoy a damage boost while giving you a chance to single out and pounce an unsuspecting Trapper.
