Choosing the best Monster for a specific game mode can make or break an inexperienced Monster player. Below are suggested Monster choices for each mode.
| Mode | Monster | Suggestion |
|---|---|---|
| Hunt | Kraken | The Kraken’s ability to get high in the sky allows it to easily spot creatures and Hunters out of the smell range, helping to evolve quickly and stay away from a Hunter ambush. |
| Nest | Goliath | When an egg is hatched in nest, it spawns a level 1 Goliath. Use this to cause confusion and rush the Hunters early with the help of the minion. |
| Rescue | Wraith | The Wraith can abduct a downed survivor to move it to a position that will benefit the Wraith. This tactic can be used to set a trap for the Hunters, or to move the survivors close together to double your attack’s effectiveness. |
| Defend | Goliath | The Goliath can one-shot the basic turrets that surround the objective with a fully upgraded rock throw. It also has the highest health value in the game, allowing you to be a little more aggressive in the fight and keep the pressure on the Hunters. |
Although these Monster choices can make it easier by playing to their strengths in each of these modes, an experienced Monster player can successfully compete in any game mode. A good Monster is a confident Monster, so choose whichever beast you feel can achieve victory.
