Group Role: Assist Teammates while Also Dealing out Damage
Class Ability: Cloaking Field
Just as their title suggests, this eclectic selection of Hunters supports the team, though they also have the ability to deal out some serious damage. Each character comes equipped with a high-damage weapon and the class ability, Cloaking Field. Otherwise, they are quite diverse in their skills, with each character having his own way to assist the team.
Hank’s Orbital Barrage can be a game changer when dropped on a slow or stationary Monster. Combine that with his Shield Projector, which is guaranteed to save many Hunters from getting a beatdown, and he becomes a huge asset for any Hunter squad.
Bucket’s everyday job may be to pilot the ship, but this machine packs quite a punch on the battlefield. Besides his extremely satisfying Guided Missile Launcher, this Hunter has the ability to deploy five Sentry Guns, which can make any Monster think twice. On top of that, he can use his head as a UAV that can survey the area and tag the Monster once spotted.
The third and final Hunter is Cabot, the creator of this crew. This Hunter is best at spoiling a good game for the Monster. Get a lucky toss with his tagging dust, and things can quickly change to the Hunters’ favor. Pull out the powerful Rail Cannon, and shoot your target through any surface. Once fully engaged with the beast, his Damage Amplifier makes everyone’s shots hurt even more.
This leaves a tough decision for any player: which Support character should be taken into the fight?
Cloaking Field
Active Radius: 10 Meters
Cooldown: 30 Seconds
Duration: 20 Seconds
Cloaking Field is extremely valuable on the battlefield, with its ability to help a struggling team escape. Tap the Ability button, and any nearby Hunters temporarily become invisible. This allows your teammates to sneak past threats, flee from trouble, or stealthily revive another Hunter.
As the squad tracks the Monster, many aggressive wildlife get in your way—some small, some big. Timely use of the Cloaking Field helps the team move past them so that the Hunters can remain focused on the task at hand. This is especially helpful when passing bigger creatures that can easily remove a Hunter from the pack, such as the Tyrant.
In battle, help out the higher-value targets like the Medic by allowing them to do their job from the safety of the Cloaking Field. Teammates who get in trouble can use the invisibility to flee from trouble. Call out to your squad when the ability is available.
The invisibility is extremely helpful for incapped Hunters. Once cloaked, there is a good chance the Monster will leave them alone. This cloaking also allows Support to move in and pick the character up. With Lazarus on the team, the cloak gets less use since he has his own Personal Cloak.
Remember that firing a weapon reveals your location, even when cloaked. This includes Cabot’s Damage Amplifier, so there is no hiding this assistance from the Monster.
