Evolve Official Strategy Guide HUNTER Medic

Overview

Group Role: Keep the Team Alive

Class Ability: Healing Burst

The Medic is quite often the most important Hunter on the team. It is up to that player to keep everyone alive as long as possible. Most Monsters come after her or him first, so staying out of sight is usually a good idea.

As the Medic, stick to the outsides of the battlefield or up high, where a nice vantage point gives you access to your teammates. For Lazarus, hiding is a little simpler with his Personal Cloak.

Each Medic has the Healing Burst, which can mend nearby Hunters, but Val and Caira also carry long-distance healing devices. This may sound like Lazarus is the inferior Medic, but his Lazarus Device is an amazing piece of technology that can bring the recently deceased back to life. This makes him a favorite among many of the other Hunters.

For the rest of the team, protecting the Medic is definitely in everyone’s interest. Markov can lay down a field of mines, or Bucket can spread Sentry Guns around the battlefield. It is often necessary to gang up on the Monster in order to free your healer.

Beyond the healing and reviving, Medics each have their own unique loadouts that make them valuable in other roles, too. Caira can set enemies on fire with her Napalm Grenade, while her Acceleration Field speeds the group up as they run toward their objective.

Lazarus carries a sniper rifle that creates weak spots on the Monster, while a Personal Cloak allows him to stealthily move in to resurrect a teammate. Val carries a trio of guns, including her MedGun. One weakens the Monster, while the other slows it down.

Healing Burst

Healing Amount: 350

Cooldown: 22 Seconds

Max radius: 15 Meters

Each Medic has the ability to release a burst of rejuvenating energy that heals any nearby characters, including the Medic. Tap the Ability button to release the cloud. There is a long recharge time between uses, so only use it when hurt.

The Medic is usually target number one, or at the least number two. When the Monster starts pounding on the Medic, use the Healing Burst, and immediately flee the area.

Be sure to communicate your intent to use the Healing Burst. Distant teammates may want to seek you out for the health boost.

With Val and Caira’s healing abilities, it is very easy to forget about this skill. Any time you are not at full health, unload the Healing Burst to top off the Medic’s HP.

“Of course you don’t need to worry. You’ve got me patching you up before you die.” Val
