Evolve Official Strategy Guide HUNTER TRAINING

Reviving Teammates

When a Hunter’s health is fully depleted, he or she is knocked to the ground and begins to bleed out. A player who is down but not out is represented by a skull icon with red filling draining out. Once it is empty, the Hunter is dead and must wait for a dropship to show up so they can reenter the game. However, Lazarus can bring a dead Hunter back to life.

During this time, a teammate can revive this player by holding down the Reload/Revive/Use button while standing nearby. Be careful, as the Monster can continue attacking the downed Hunter until he or she is dead. A Monster may also use the body as bait so that it can get an easy second kill.

Any Hunter (as well as Daisy) can revive a teammate with this slow method, but Medics revive faster than other classes by healing the downed player until he or she is back up.

When you are down but not out, you are equipped with a handgun that you can use to continue the fight. This is really weak and only good for firing at wildlife or a Monster that has a sliver of health left.

A downed Hunter can still use a cloak or shield. Use the cloak if you don’t want to attract any attention from the Monster while you wait to be revived. The shield allows you to prolong your life a little while longer. Be careful, as shooting while cloaked reveals your location. Healing a hidden Hunter also gives players away.

Strikes

Each time a Hunter is knocked down and revived, they return with a strike, which lowers the player’s maximum health by 25%. A second strike reduces it to 50%. For the third knock out, there is no bleeding out. The Hunter goes straight to death and then on to the dropship. Strikes are permanent, unless removed by a Medbay map effect. Or, in Defend, if you take the dropship and are not revived, you will not get a strike; if you are revived, you get a strike.

Lazarus has the unique ability to revive a dead human without a strike. This means that if he is on your team, refrain from reviving anyone, unless Lazarus himself goes down.
