There are four basic game modes in Evolve: Hunt, Nest, Rescue, and Defend. These offer a variety of gameplay options for the Monsters and Hunters. Simply hunt each other in Hunt mode, or fight over objectives.
A fifth mode called Evacuation pits the Hunters against the Monster in five days of matches—four rounds occurring in Hunt, Nest, or Rescue modes, and a fifth taking place in Defend mode. The game balance is shifted between the two sides depending on how each fares.
