The trick to zipping along faster than your rivals lies in hitting those glowing dash zones. Each one you hit will boost your speed by one notch on the speed gauge located in your screen’s lower-left corner.
Going faster makes steering your Bullet Bill much more challenging, but velocity is the key to victory in Speeding Bullets!
Beware: Obstacles abound on this rough road. Warp pipes stick out from the sides of the trail at various points, and the occasional Piranha Plant will pop out of these to chomp you as you zip past.
Do your best to dodge these roadside hazards by striving to remain near the middle of the path.
You’ll also lose speed if you bump into the outside wall, so be wary of areas where the road narrows.
Because there are so many things to bump into down the last few stretches, you might want to avoid those dash zones once you’re comfortable with your speed.
Keeping your Speed meter to around three or four notches will greatly improve your control. As the old saying goes, slow and steady wins the race!
