The tension is electric in Bumper Sparks, a fun yet frantic minigame battle against Bowser Jr. Your goal is to bounce Jr. into the electrified ring that surrounds the combat arena.
Knock that little loudmouth into the ring three times for a shocking good time!
This minigame seems simple enough, but Jr. has some slick moves and is pretty good at giving you and your partner the slip.
Work together with your teammate to close in on Jr. from two different angles. This limits Jr.’s escape options and gives him little chance of slipping past.
There’s no penalty for touching the electrified fence—except for the
few seconds you lose while you’re being zapped!
Notice how Jr. is moving and gauge his momentum as a means of anticipating where he’ll go next.
Maneuver into position to head Jr. off and ram him backward into the unforgiving electrified ring.
Jolt Jr. three times in this fashion to emerge victorious!
Each time Jr. suffers a nasty shock, he gains a brief moment of invincibility. Jr. uses this opportunity to flee to the center of the arena.
Expect this and retreat to the center along with Jr. so that you can ram him the moment he becomes vulnerable again.
Thirty seconds is plenty of time to punish Jr., so long as you and your teammate work together and are careful not to get in each other’s way!
