Piranha Patch

How to Play

Hold the Wii Remote sideways.
Press the D-Pad to move.

An afternoon of flower picking can be relaxing and fun—unless your field is full of pesky Piranha Plants!

In this fun yet frantic minigame, players run around a grassy garden in search of budding flowers.

Each flower you pick is worth points—whoever winds up with the highest score when time expires will be crowned the ultimate picker!

Pink flowers are worth one point, while rare gold flowers are worth three. Watch out for those sneaky Piranha Plants, though—they’ll pop up from time to time and chomp away one of your points if you get too close!

Tip

Hang out near the tall grass in the center of the garden—that’s where the gold flowers tend to grow! But note that your speed is reduced in the tall grass, so keep this in mind.

Flowers can be collected only after they’ve blossomed, but you never know what might emerge from those growing buds.

Therefore, it’s best to keep a little distance from the buds as they begin to sprout, because a Piranha Plant might just pop up instead of something more pleasant!

Caution

Piranha Plants can stretch out and bite you from a short distance. Keep away once you’ve spied one of these ugly pests!

Though gold flowers are great grabs, they’re really rare. Pink flowers are far more plentiful, so hurry and grab them the moment you see one pop up.

All flowers wilt after a brief time, and your rivals are also racing after them, so you’ve got to be quick! Pack your basket full of sweet-smelling flora and enjoy the rest of your golden afternoon.
