Board Overview
Deep in the heart of the misty jungle, ancient and mysterious ruins serve as home to that big excitable ape Donkey Kong!
You can play this special board only after you visit the Museum and spend 500 Party Points to unlock it, so it’ll take some time before you can join DK and Diddy Kong in their tropical playground.
Mini Stars are nowhere to be found around here—it’s Bananas that you’re after!
This short board is lined with DK’s favorite fruit, but watch out: Sinister Z-Bananas are also about, and touching any of these rotten fruits will subtract some Bananas from your pack.
Though it appears to be the shortest board of all, you’re actually required to make two laps around DK’s Jungle Ruins, effectively doubling its size.
There are also special areas to visit, where you can win Bananas by the bunches! DK’s Jungle Ruins is a fast and fun board with relatively few hazards, making it one of the best boards to play when you’re trying to pile up those Party Points.

This is bananas!
Land on one of the four glowing DK Spaces around the ruins to trigger a very special event. All of the board’s Bananas and Z-Bananas will begin to spin around the ruins.
When you see a long row of Bananas headed your way, press 2 to start snatching them up!
This is one of the best ways to boost your Banana count at DK’s Jungle Ruins, so make good use of special Dice Blocks and try to land on those DK Spaces often!

Land on the board’s left Lucky Space, and you’ll be boosted to a nearby isle by way of Barrel Cannon. Bananas abound over here—see the next section for details!
Banana Catapult (Lucky Space Area)

This tiny island floats to the left of the main ruins, and can only be reached by landing on the board’s left Lucky Space. Over here, Diddy Kong will instruct you to rapidly press A for five seconds.
The more times you press A, the higher you’ll be boosted up into the line of Bananas above! Give it all you’ve got and hammer that A button to nab as many Bananas as you can.
Barrel Choice

This is like shooting Bananas in a barrel!
Cruise to the top of the ruins to reach the Captain Event space. The nearby temple ruins then retract, revealing a row of four wooden barrels.
A bounty of Bananas soon tumbles into the barrels from above, and one of the barrels will receive many more fruit than rest.
The barrels are then shuffled around—if you’re the captain, keep your eye on the one that’s brimming with Bananas, and don’t let Diddy Kong’s antics distract you!
The captain gets to choose which player gets which barrel, so take the best one for yourself and let the rest sort themselves out!
When you revisit this Captain Event on your second lap, the barrels will shuffle even faster, and DK will join Diddy in distracting you. Do your best to grab the right barrel!

Park on this Lucky Space, and you’ll be fired from another Barrel Cannon. This one sends you to a tiny isle to the right—see the next section for more!

This little island lies to the right of the main ruins, and features a trio of spinning statues bearing Diddy Kong’s likeness. Watch the statues as they spin, and press A to stop them.
Toad Checkpoint

During your second lap around the ruins, a friendly Toad calls out to you when you reach this spot on the board’s left side.
The player with the fewest amount of Bananas gets a Slow Dice Block, which can really turn their luck around here at DK’s Jungle Ruins. Use that Slow Dice Block to land on those DK Spaces and rake in the fresh tropical fruit!
