In Hole Hogs, the solo player must use a heavy mallet to whack the players on the rival team, who pop up from several holes in the ground.
The rivals must poke their heads out from the earth in an effort to score points, while the solo player must simply prevent the rivals from scoring by whacking each one as promptly as possible. Who will achieve victory in this zany minigame?
The solo player’s job couldn’t be simpler in Hole Hogs. Just watch those holes carefully, and be quick to point at them and press A to whack your rivals each time they poke their heads out.
Simply hit every rival as quickly as possible to prevent them from scoring.
The team of rivals has their work cut out for them. They can only score points by popping up from a hole and praying that the solo player doesn’t whack them before they dip back down.
Each time a rival manages to stick their head up for a few seconds without being whacked, a musical note appears over their head, and they score one point.
The rivals must fill out the lengthy points meter at the screen’s bottom to beat their solo adversary—no easy feat!
Hole Hogs last for 30 seconds, so the rivals need to average a point every three seconds in order to win.
This certainly isn’t easy, but with enough guile and sneakiness, the rivals can take their lumps and still manage to eek out the win.
