Goomba Spotting

How to Play

Hold the Wii Remote vertically.
Press A once for each Goomba you count.

I spy with my little eye...a whole crew of Goombas! In Goomba Spotting, your goal is to tally up the total number of Goombas that you see sprinting across a narrow field.

The player who comes the closest to the exact count wins!

Goomba Spotting might sound simple, but those Goombas are a wily bunch. At first, only a few Goombas stroll across the clearing; then they start sprinting past in big, speedy waves!

Press A each time you count a Goomba, but press A only once per Goomba you spy; otherwise your count will be way off!

Caution

Critters other than Goombas will move through your view as well. Don’t press A for these silly pranksters! Only Goombas are worth counting.

Tip

Press the Home Button and turn down the volume on your Wii Remote speaker if you don’t want your friends to hear your button presses.

Some Goombas will even stand atop one another and move past your view in a teetering stack.

These guys can be tough to count, but do your best to press A for every Goomba in the group. And don’t let them distract you from any other Goombas that zip past at the same time!

The Goombas all line up after the event ends, and everyone’s total button presses are revealed. Did you manage to count them all? If so, congratulations—that’s no easy feat!
