Sink Bowser Jr. in Sand Trap, a unique minigame in which you and your partner must work together to trigger special panels that cause sections of the board’s sandy floor to vanish.
Knock out the floor beneath Jr.’s feet to drop him into the pits!
Think of Sand Trap as a more challenging version of Double Pounder.
You and your teammate must perform simultaneous ground-pounds to activate the panels along the outside edge of the gridlike sand pit where Jr. frolics.
Each time you do this, a square segment of the sand pit evaporates, giving Jr. fewer places to hide. Keep it up until he has no place left to run!
Bowser Jr. is good at reading your intentions and moving out of harm’s way, so you’ve got to work fast if you’re going to trap him.
Just keep pounding those panels to make more and more of the sandy floor disappear. The faster you do this, the sooner Jr. will become stuck and unable to flee his fate!
Sand Trap is a tricky minigame until you get the hang of it.
Pay attention to where Jr. is running, and look for ways to box him in by making certain sections of the sand pit vanish before he can flee.
Once you’ve got Jr. cornered, eliminating him is short work. But don’t dally out there in the desert sun—you’ve just 30 seconds to dunk Jr. beneath the dunes!
