The pressure is on during this game of chance! In Pier Pressure, each player takes turns reeling in one of the many finishing rods that line a wooden jetty.
Players who pull up an Urchin are eliminated, and the last player left on the pier wins the catch of the day!
This simple minigame comes down to pure luck, because there’s no sure way to tell which rods hold Urchins and which ones don’t.
The turn order is also chosen at random at the start of the event, adding yet another layer of chance to this game of catch and release.
Simply run up to any rod you like and press 2 to reel in its line. Breathe easy if you pull in a Cheep Cheep—you’ve survived this round!
Depending on how many players are fishing for the win, up to three of the pier’s rods will sport ugly Urchins.
Yanking up one of these nasty baddies earns you a dunk into the blue, ending your day on the lake. Here’s hoping the Cheep Cheep are biting instead!
Though the rods bob and bend to different degrees, there’s no discernible pattern to be found in this.
You never know what might be waiting beneath those waves, so just yank any pole to see what luck you’re having today.
