Perspective Mode takes 10 of Mario Party 9’s most thrilling Free-for-All minigames and ramps up the challenge by adding a special twist: You get to play each of these games from your character’s point of view!
The first time you play a Perspective Mode game, only one game will be available: Tumble Temple. Beat this first minigame to unlock the next one, and so on. Keep going until you clear all 10!
We reveal all 10 Perspective Mode games in the following list, and provide special tips to help you beat each one. Check the “Minigames” chapter for more in-depth looks at these Free-for-All affairs!
- Tumble Temple: You only need to outlast your rivals, so watch those pistons and try to keep near the center so you’ll have options on where to flee.
- Logger Heads: This one’s a breeze—just be quick to cut those logs and duck whenever you see a Bob-omb!
- Ring Leader: Timing is everything—you’ll fly through this one once you get the hang of those jumps!
- Magma Mayhem: Stick near the middle of the platform and use quick dropkicks to knock your rivals for a loop!
- Pianta Pool: Keep to the middle of the pool so you can see where the rings are headed, then go for the gold!
- Piranha Patch: Hang out in the tall grass so you can grab those gold flowers, but beware of those pesky Piranha Plants!
- Skyjinks: The course is the same as ever, but you lose if you fall even once. Practice the normal minigame to memorize the course if you like!
- Plunder Ground: Stand where you can see each chest as they fill, and remain near the center so you can watch them all as they’re shuffled underground.
- Billistics: This one boils down to pure luck. Just do your best to dodge those Bullet Bills and pray your rivals get hit quick!
- Mob Sleds: They’ve saved the worst for last! Run to one corner of the rink, then sprint to the opposite corner. Exploit the inner and outer tracks at the corners—you can dodge rivals by moving from one to the other.
