Your goal is simple: Just press 2 to jump up and hit the floating blocks whenever Bullet Bills appear on them. This will cause one, two, or three Bullet Bills to fly out and blast Lakitu—the amount varies based on the number of Bullet Bills that are shown on the block when you hit it. The more Bullet Bills on the block, the bigger the attack!
Each Bullet Bill causes a bit of damage to Lakitu, whose health is measured by a meter on the right. You also earn one point each time you hit Lakitu. Your goal is to have the highest score at the end of the battle, so blast this bad boss early and often!
Lakitu becomes really angry after you blast half of his health away, and the boss throws a giant Spiny into play that’s tough to avoid. Worse, this hulking Spiny costs you two points when touched—not good! Keep far away from the giant Spiny to preserve your precious points, and continue launching Bullet Bills at Lakitu until the boss finally goes down.
