Players are automatically provided with three different loadouts at the start of play. As you level up, an additional five loadout slots become available. The three preset loadouts (Assault, Sniper, and Ambusher) cannot be customized, but the other five can. You can assign two standard weapons and a piece of equipment to each loadout. You can also select a different loadout between respawns or rounds. Be sure to customize your loadouts with different selections of weapons so that you can adjust to a given situation in the middle of a match.
When selecting weapons for a loadout, it’s best to avoid doubling up on the same style of weapon. For example, it wouldn’t be a good idea to select both the Combat Shotgun and the Super Shotgun for a single loadout. Similarly, you wouldn’t want to rush into battle armed with both the Vortex Rifle and Static Rifle. It’s far better to be equipped with weapons that can adapt to enemies at different ranges. Pairing either rifle with either shotgun is significantly more effective. Consider the following loadout suggestions, but feel free to experiment with your own, as well.
- Vortex Rifle, Super Shotgun, and Shield Wall
- Rocket Launcher, Burst Rifle, and Hologram
- Plasma Rifle, Combat Shotgun, and Frag Grenade
- Chaingun, Lightning Gun, and Siphon Grenade
- Heavy Assault Rifle, Vortex Rifle, and Tesla Rocket
