Raids have received some exciting new updates in Warlords of Draenor. Raiding difficulty levels have been reworked to allow players to choose exactly how challenging they want their content to be. In addition, a new mechanic for building raid groups was introduced in Mists of Pandaria that continues to be influential in Warlords.
Flexible Raiding
Mists of Pandaria introduced Flexible Raiding to the raiding system. With Flexible Raiding, players could invite anywhere from 10-25 players to a raid group, and the difficulty of the raid and its mobs would scale to match however many players were included. Flexible Raiding was introduced as its own level of difficulty that ranked just above Raid Finder, and below Normal Difficulty. As its own level of difficulty, it had its own distinct tier of rewards.
In Warlords of Draenor, this Flexible mode of raiding is no longer its own difficulty. Instead, the ability to bring however many players you have on hand is being applied to all but the highest difficulty level of content. Because of this, raid difficulty levels have been re-named to reflect the change. In addition, while Raid Finder, Normal, and Heroic difficulties allow you to bring anywhere from 10-25 players, the new Mythic difficulty is set to a limit of 20 players.

Because of these changes to how raids are put together, players can now create both Normal and Heroic raids with their Real ID and BattleTag cross-realm friends. In addition, all raids are now on separate lockouts. If you feel up to the challenge, you can complete each raid in each difficulty once per week.
