Warrior
Overview
Warriors are the masters of melee combat as either versatile combatants or stalwart defenders who protect groups. As masters of arms, they can use nearly every weapon, and don the heaviest armor.
When you are playing a Warrior, you must be flexible and know which abilities are best suited to any situation. Carefully plan how best to spend your Rage (your primary resource), so that in the heat of battle you can fuel your abilities and devastate your foes with a staggering combination of strikes.
Prominent Class Abilities
Stances
Warriors learn two stances: Battle Stance, and Defensive Stance. All Warriors begin with Battle Stance generating high Rage from normal attacks. Defensive Stance reduces a Warrior’s Rage generation when compared to the other stances, but it also reduces the amount of damage taken.
Shouts
Warrior can use various Shouts to inspire groups, or demoralize enemies. There are several shouts; some are available only as talents, and some available only to certain specializations, but every Warrior has a few to choose from. Commanding Shout and Battle Shout are used to provide benefits for your party or raid. The remaining shouts can cause an enemy to flee, reduce the damage enemies can inflict, do AoE damage, and snare or root enemies within the Warrior’s shout radius.
Specializations
At level 10, Warriors must decide on one of the following specializations: Arms, Fury, or Protection.
