First Aid
First Aid enables you to create bandages which are used to restore health, and antidotes to remove poisons. Bandages are created from cloth drops in the game, and they can be used outside of combat or even while in the middle of it. Bandages can be used on yourself, other players, or pets. Characters that are damage dealers should use First Aid even more aggressively than most. In really big team fights, the tanks and healers get the most attention when it comes to healing. Damage dealers are last on the list, and if there isn’t enough mana to go around they are the ones that come up short.
Being able to restore some health during these fights is a godsend. You shouldn’t try to use a bandage when an enemy is in the middle of attacking you. This disrupts the process, ending your health restoration. Bandages have a cooldown period, so you can’t continually apply them. Stun an enemy or otherwise get away from them for a few moments and use your First Aid.
PRACTICING FIRST AID ON DRAENOR
First Aid on Draenor now has multiple applications and uses. While you can still make bandages to heal yourself over time, you can now also craft Healing Tonics that act as health potions, for an instant heal. In addition, you can create oil and anti-venom that will not only cure a Disease or a Poison, but reduce the duration of newly applied Diseases or Poisons for a short duration of time. All new First Aid items now require you to gather fish. This includes the new Antiseptic Bandage, which uses both Sumptuous Fur and Sea Scorpion Segments to craft.
