Alliance players begin their journey in Shadowmoon Valley, land of eternal night. The eastern coast of the zone is the location of Karabor, sacred temple of the draenei and target of the Iron Horde. Although draenei structures and towns make up much of the zone, Shadowmoon Valley is also home to the Shadowmoon clan of orcs. While some exiles have taken refuge in the north, most of the Shadowmoon are in Anguish Fortress, which is also the location of the Shadowmoon Burial Grounds dungeon.
