As you approach the first curve, veer to the right, then drift back to the left. Start the drift early enough to charge a Mini-Turbo before the track curves back to the left. Release the drift, then start a new one as the track hooks back to the right. Super Mini-Turbo into the straightaway and follow the path into the tunnel.
As you approach the next corner, make a hard drift to the left. Use a Mushroom to boost across the blue turf, then release the drift as you return to the asphalt. Watch out for the large pillar protruding from the wall! Veer to the left, then head straight out of the tunnel. Drift through the next curve, then Super Mini-Turbo onto the covered bridge.
The bridge is very narrow, so you don’t have much room to drift. Try to charge a Mini-Turbo through each curve, but focus on avoiding the guardrails.
As you exit the covered bridge, look for the red lights on your left. These lights indicate a steep drop, so use caution whenever you see them. As you drift through the next two turns, try to stay near the track’s center.
When the track pulls away from the wall, things get a little more dangerous. Drift through the coins along the curve’s inside edge, but be careful not to slip off. When you come out of the turn, Super Mini-Boost toward the tunnel ahead of you.
As you exit the tunnel, aim for the coin in the center of the road. The first puddle is coming up on your left, so maintain your heading to ensure you avoid it. When the track starts to curve, begin a gentle drift to the left. After you pass the first puddle, move to the curve’s inside edge.
If you stay near the wall, you’ll slip right past the remaining puddles. Hold your drift as the track loops around, then Super Mini-Turbo toward the glide panel. Hop into the jump, then glide your way to the end of the lap.
Tactics for Laps 2 and 3
Use the exact same tactics to complete the remaining laps. Be particularly careful around the rain puddles. Now that you’ve collected the nearby coins, you might have a little more trouble recognizing these hazards.
