Keep straight after you rocket start from the starting line. As you approach the first left turn, drift to the left for a Mini-Turbo. As soon as you receive the Mini-Turbo, drift to the right and hold it until you reach the dash panel. If you do this correctly, you receive a Mini-Turbo just before the dash panel. Make sure to straighten out as you bounce across the mushroom.
After landing from the bouncing mushroom, drift to the left and hold it around the bend. As you come around the corner, you’ll see a fork in the road. Release your drift for a Mini-Turbo and take the path to the right. Bounce across the mushrooms and begin a drift to the left, holding it all the way around the next bend in the road.
You enter a cavern that has quite a few bouncing mushrooms and crystals hanging from the walls. Release your drift for a boost and take the path of mushrooms that leads to the left. Remember to hop as you bounce on each mushroom for an extra boost of speed.
As you bounce off the blue mushroom, your glider will pop out. Fly through the large batch of coins as you glide down to the race path.
After landing from the glide, keep aiming straight for the grass ahead of you. Start a drift to the left and use one of your Mushrooms to speed through the grass. Avoid the Goombas that are in the area here.
As you exit the grass area, release your drift for a Mini-Turbo toward the finish line. Straighten your kart as you cross the finish line for lap 1.
Tactics for Laps 2 and 3
Use the same basic tactics to complete the remaining laps, but adjust your racing line to grab any coins you might need.
