Balloon Battle Tips
As soon as the match begins, drive as fast as you can toward the middle island. This is the only place that you can find item boxes, and it is also the most dangerous spot to be! A good tactic is to get an item box and drive away quickly.
Watch out for the Sidesteppers all over the course! They wander and don’t stay in the same location for long. If you run into one, you’ll lose one of your balloons. They can be used defensively, though. If you see an opponent driving toward you with a Shell, hide behind a Sidestepper; it will take the hit instead of you!
Coin Runner Tips
The trick in Coin Runners on this map is to get in and grab as many coins as you can, then drive toward the course’s outer rim. The center island tends to get crazy with all the drivers constantly picking up items and just trading coins as they exchange hits.
While the track’s outer portion is the safer area, you’ll need to go back to the middle for more coins and items. As you pass through, be sure to find and throw a Shell at whoever has the highest amount of coins.
