Upon starting, you’ll see some stairs ahead of you. Veer slightly to the right and drive up the stairs leading to the right escalator. As you reach the top, time a hop perfectly and you’ll gain a speed boost. At this point in the track, remember that the escalators can change directions at regular intervals; always be prepared to take the side where the arrows are pointing up.
After exiting the escalator, steer to the right and stay on the current floor. As you drive to the right, you’ll see a sign for a store called Delfino Dream. Begin a drift to the right and drive through the store for a great shortcut.
As you exit the store, keep heading straight. Take the ramp off of the silver railing ahead of you. Make sure to hop to gain an extra speed boost here. Keep driving toward the escalators and take the one that has the arrows pointing in the direction you are going.
Drift to the right around the big bend ahead, and try to collect at least two of the coins as you build up a Mini-Turbo boost.
As you drive through this next section, try to keep your kart lined up with the palm trees. You’ll want to hop off of each small section surrounding each palm tree to gain Mini-Turbo boosts. Keep driving toward the fountain past the palm trees and hop over it as well for another Mini-Turbo boost.
Upon landing from your last jump over the fountain, begin a drift to the left around the next big bend. Collect the three coins around the turn. As you reach the top, stay to the left and head for a dash panel.
Once you gain the speed boost from the dash panel, begin a drift to the right. After turning slightly, you’ll see the exit to the mall. Keep driving forward and hit the glide panel to begin gliding over the outdoor area. Make sure you hop as you hit the glide panel for an extra boost!
Once you finish gliding, try to land closer to the right-hand side of the road. Begin a drift to the right and begin sliding toward the dash panel on the road’s left side. There are cars here that will be driving back and forth—avoid them at all costs! If you hit one, you’ll topple over and lose precious seconds. After you hit the first dash panel, immediately steer to the right and you should avoid the first car.
With your speed boost from the previous dash panel, head toward the dash panel on the right-hand side now. Be very careful because there may be a car here directly in your path! It is possible to squeeze in between the wall and the car, as shown in the screenshot. After hitting the final dash panel, begin a drift to the right and head toward the finish line.
Tactics for Laps 2 and 3
Use the same basic tactics to complete the remaining laps, but make a few small adjustments to your racing line. The cars in the parking lot will might be in different locations, and the escalators switch direction each time you complete a lap.
