Shortly after you rocket start off the starting line, you’ll see a large bump in the road ahead of you. Hop off of this bump to get a much-needed small boost.
As you head into the first bend in the track, drift to the left while trying to stay as close to the track’s edge as possible. As you drift all the way around this bend, try to grab the coins that are the closest to the inside of the track.
As you enter the tunnel, drift to the right to get a small boost. Try to stay close to the right wall when doing this. Avoid hitting the wall at all costs, as it will slow you down dramatically.
As you come out of the tunnel, drift to the right to get another small boost. Do this quickly to avoid going into the dirt off the track. If you do go into the dirt, get back on the main road right away!
As soon as you receive a small boost from your previous drift, hop and drift to the left and stay along the inside portion of the track. While drifting, collect the coins that are closest to the inside of the track.
When your boost from the previous drift ends, use a Mushroom to keep your speed up along the straightaway. This will complete your first lap.
Tactics for Laps 2 and 3
Use the same basic tactics to complete the remaining laps. Adjust your racing line if you need to collect more coins; otherwise, use your remaining Mushrooms to cut across the grass and sand along the inside of the track’s large curves. Make sure you’re drifting while you do this!
