If you have a Mushroom when you reach the ramp with a glide panel, be sure to use it! It’s a great shortcut and will help you soar above your opponents, keeping you mostly out of harm’s way.
When you enter the muddy section of the track, you can find another path to the right that takes you up above the mud. This path has four easy-to-grab coins and a glide panel at the end with two item boxes.
The three turns going through the mansion is a great place to lay down a Banana. Opponents will have to work very hard to avoid them if you place them along the path they usually drift!
The walking trees in the mud area can be a very dangerous hazard since they can constantly change position on the track. You won’t spin out if you run into one, but it will be just like hitting the stationary trees on the track.
When driving through the mud area of the track, you’ll see a small section with five item boxes on it. If you can, try to grab more than one. You won’t get any extra items out of it, but if you can stop your opponents behind you from getting an item, you’ll be that much safer!
