These characters are unlocked and ready to race! This group contains a nice selection of character types, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding one that matches your style of play.
Mario
With his well-rounded characteristics, Mario sets the standard for kart racers!
Luigi
Luigi shares the same basic qualities as his brother, making him a great choice for all players.
Peach
Peach’s top speed is a bit slower than heavier racers, but she gives a nice boost to your kart’s acceleration.
Yoshi
Like Peach, Yoshi favors acceleration over top speed. He’s slightly bigger than a true lightweight, but not by much!
Bowser
This heavy hitter has a high top speed and enough weight to jostle through almost anyone. Unfortunately for Bowser, these attributes come at the cost of acceleration, handling, and nearly every other kart characteristic.
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong may not be able to match Bowser’s weight and speed, but he makes up for it with improved acceleration. If you’re not ready to try a true heavyweight, consider giving Donkey Kong a spin.
Toad
Toad’s lack of weight and speed is offset by his outstanding acceleration and drifting ability. Lightweight characters are great for new players, and Toad is one of the best around!
Koopa Troopa
This little guy is another great option for new players. He shares all of Toad’s characteristics, so don’t hesitate to pick him.
