As you head into the first turn, drift to the left. If you stay near the grass, you can charge a Mini-Turbo by the time you round the corner. Release the drift and veer toward the bridge’s right edge as you enjoy the small burst of speed.
The path bends to the right at the small island. Use a wide drift to maintain your speed, but take care to avoid a costly fall. Try to charge another Mini-Turbo, but don’t hesitate to release the drift if you’re in danger of slipping into the water.
When you spot the first log in the road, line up your kart to grab one of the coins above it. The log acts as a small ramp, launching your kart into the air. Perform a hop just as your wheels leave the ground to gain a small boost when your kart lands. Drift along the inside edge of the upcoming curve, and watch the road for roaming mountain goats.
On the first lap, the mountain goats are fairly easy to avoid. Adjust your drift to slide past them, and try to charge a Super Mini-Turbo. As you cross the next bridge, try to collect the coins from the center of the path.
With a line of coins and numerous dash panels, the banked curve is an appealing option. However, for the fastest time, you’ll want to drift along the track’s inside edge. When you spot the two pipes near the edge of the grass, use a Mushroom to boost through the flower patch. Continue to follow the track’s curve, but do so near the small fence on your left.
Your boost should carry you all the way to the hidden path across the grass. When you reach the dirt, release your drift to speed down the narrow runway. When you reach the glide panel, hop up to gain some extra speed as your glider unfolds.
As you soar through the air, aim for the gap between the windmills. If the spinning blades are blocking your path, swoop down to slip under them, then pull back up to avoid landing on the grass.
When you touch down on the main path, veer toward the coins to the right. Once you’re lined up, drift through the coins and around the corner to charge up a Super Mini-Turbo. Release the drift as you round the corner for a nice boost as you complete the first lap.
Tactics for Laps 2 and 3
Use the same basic tactics to complete the remaining laps, but adjust your racing line to collect missed coins and avoid moving hazards. Perform big drifts to charge Mini-Turbos and Super Mini-Turbos, and use your remaining Mushrooms to cut over to the hidden path. Above all, make sure you stay out of that lake!
